Under Joe Gallardo since a 2023 sale, Rooster's reopened in May 2025 as Rooster's Barbecue Co. after renovations and permit delays. The Cox family ran it for decades before selling; the dining room and the name are new, the corner is not.
In 2016, under the prior ownership, the restaurant won Best Burger in Baytown at the Troller-Arnold family contest — a local prize, not a statewide one.
