Turnarounds and expansions (2026): no official site-specific 2026 turnaround calendar is posted. ExxonMobil's Baytown page (April 21, 2025) says major turnarounds were completed earlier in 2025, adding roughly 3,500 extra workers over about two months, and that turnaround work often runs 24/7. One confirmed project: a Baytown Refinery Reconfiguration / Group III base-stock expansion, Final Investment Decision announced August 26, 2025, construction underway. It is expected to shift some gasoline production toward higher-demand Group III lubricant base stocks and diesel, raise Group III capacity to about 8,000 barrels a day, start up in 2028, and create more than 1,000 construction jobs.
