Golden Corral is coming back to Baytown
Golden Corral is building a new restaurant in Baytown, and it is not open yet. The new buffet is going up at 4350 East Highway 10, along the I-10 frontage road near San Jacinto Boulevard, west of Garth Road. The old Golden Corral at 4610 Garth Road has closed. The target for the new one is around March 2027, so please do not plan a dinner there this year.

Where the new restaurant goes
The new Golden Corral sits along Interstate 10 near San Jacinto Boulevard, on the west side of Garth Road. The Baytown Sun places it behind Mambo Seafood and near Cheddar's. If you drive the I-10 frontage road toward Garth, that is the stretch. The street address on the permit is 4350 East Highway 10.
What the permit says
A building-permit report lists the project at 4350 East Highway 10 as a 9,258 square foot building and a $4 million project. The same report says the restaurant is expected to open in early 2027. A permit shows that work is planned and paid for. It does not show an opening day.
The old restaurant on Garth Road
The earlier Golden Corral stood at 4610 Garth Road. It is closed. Waze lists it as "Closed," and we did not find a public closing date. Do not go to that address for the buffet. The new one will be at a different place on the I-10 frontage road.
Dates can slip
New restaurants often open later than the first target. The March 2027 date comes from the newspaper, and the permit report says only "early 2027." Treat both as hopes until Golden Corral posts an opening date for Baytown on its own site.
