Mambo Seafood

Mambo is a Houston-born seafood house, not a mom-and-pop, and it is honest about that. 4300 East Freeway: whole fried fish, garlic shrimp, tostones, the famous Mambo rice, oysters at the bar, a Chelada if you are pacing yourself.

It is festive on purpose. Tables of six, not a solo Tuesday. The seafood market will cook what you pick by the pound. Order too much.

Mariscada for the table. Mambo rice. Tostones on the side.

Local tip. Go with a crowd. Solo Tuesday is the wrong assignment. The market will cook what you pick.
