Where to watch the game
Texans on Sunday, Astros most nights from April, Goose Creek and Barbers Hill on Friday, and the Cowboys argument that never ends. Here's where the TVs are. Hooky Entertainment, 10550 I-10 Service Road. Not a bar — a bowling-and-games complex with a bar in it — and the one place with enough screens that the Astros are on somewhere in every room.

Texans on Sunday, Astros most nights from April, Goose Creek and Barbers Hill on Friday, and the Cowboys argument that never ends. Here's where the TVs are.
The bars. The Chute, 4537 Garth Road. The most screens downtown, the sound on for the big one, a bar that fills by kickoff. Get there thirty minutes before a Texans game or stand. Live music some nights means the game's on mute; check the page.
Hooky Entertainment, 10550 I-10 Service Road. Not a bar — a bowling-and-games complex with a bar in it — and the one place with enough screens that the Astros are on somewhere in every room. Younger, louder, and the crowd is the entertainment when the game isn't.
The Dirty Daiquiri, North Main. Not a sports bar. On the list because the TV is on, the daiquiri is Baytown's own, and it's where you end up when the game's a blowout by the third quarter.
Rooster's bar side. The grown-up option. A burger, a beer, the game on without the shouting. Where you take your father-in-law for the Cowboys.
The chains on Garth. They exist. Wings, sixty TVs, the same as everywhere. You'll go once, for the playoff game when downtown is full.
Friday night. The real game in this town is high school football. Goose Creek CISD's three high schools and Barbers Hill's are on the events calendar every home Friday with kickoff and parking; a ticket is a few dollars at the gate or through the district's app, and it's the best show in town from September to November. Get there by 6:30 or park in the neighborhood and walk. Homecoming and the crosstown games sell out.
Lee College. The Navigators play in the gym on campus — men's basketball and women's volleyball — and it's free or nearly. The schedule is at gonavigators.com and on the calendar.
The rule. Astros playoff games and Texans Sundays: every place above is full. Book the table, or watch at home and come out after. And on a Friday in October, don't expect anyone under forty at the bar until the high school game lets out.
En español. Dónde ver el partido en Baytown: The Chute en Garth tiene más pantallas, Hooky en la I-10 es bolos y pantallas, Rooster's es tranquilo. Los viernes, el fútbol americano de las preparatorias es el verdadero evento.
