Why Spur 330 Decides Your Baytown Trash Day

The service boundary is simple once you know the road that divides the schedules.

One highway line quietly sorts Baytown homes into different trash schedules.

Trash is picked up twice a week in Baytown. Live north of Spur 330 and Highway 146, and you get Monday and Thursday. Live south, and you get Tuesday and Friday. Spur 330 is Decker Drive. Put the bin at the curb by 7 a.m. Recycling is once a week on a different map. For anything that won't fit in the bin, the city's Green Center at 1601 W. Main takes household debris, brush, e-waste and recyclables from residents, cash only.

The short version

  • Trash: Monday and Thursday, or Tuesday and Friday.
  • North of Spur 330 (Decker Drive) and north of Highway 146 gets Monday and Thursday.
  • South of Spur 330 and Highway 146 gets Tuesday and Friday.
  • Bins go to the curb by 7 a.m.
  • Recycling is weekly and follows Highway 146 and Main Street, not Spur 330.
  • The Green Center takes the big stuff, for cash fees.

Find your trash days

Use the map line. The city says trash service is provided twice weekly, on Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, and which pair you get depends on where you sit against Spur 330 and Highway 146.

  • Monday and Thursday: north of Spur 330 (Decker Drive) and north of Highway 146.
  • Tuesday and Friday: south of Spur 330 and south of Highway 146.

Put your bin at the curb by 7 a.m. on your pickup days. The city says new bins are delivered in 5 to 7 business days.

If you live close to Spur 330 or Highway 146, do not guess. A street near Decker Drive could fall on either side. Check the city's Garbage and Recycle page (https://www.baytown.org/295/Garbage-Recycle), which carries the zone map.

Recycling is once a week

Trash and recycling use different maps, so check both. Recycling uses Highway 146 and Main Street as the lines: - Monday: north of Highway 146, west of Main Street. - Tuesday: south of Highway 146, east of Main Street. - Thursday: north of Highway 146, east of Main Street. - Friday: south of Highway 146, west of Main Street.

Put it together and a house can have trash on Monday and Thursday and recycling on Thursday, or trash on Tuesday and Friday and recycling on Friday. Write both down once and tape them inside the cabinet.

Holidays

Collection continues on three holidays in the 2026-2027 stretch, according to the trash contractor's holiday schedule. Regular collection is listed for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, 2026, for Christmas Day, Friday, Dec. 25, 2026, and for New Year's Day 2027. The city's Garbage and Recycle page links to the contractor's holiday schedule (https://best-trash.com/holiday-schedule/). Check it before any other holiday.

What it costs

The city's billing page shows a sample bill for 5,000 gallons of water. The lines include $40.00 for garbage and recycling and $4.00 for the Municipal Drainage Utility Service. The sample water-bill total is $83.80, the sewer amount is $40.74, and the combined figure is $124.54.

These are sample figures, not a rate table. The FY2027 budget, which began Oct. 1, 2026, approves rate changes of 4.5% for water and 12.4% for sewer. The sample does not say whether the garbage line changes, so check your own bill.

The Green Center

For items that do not fit in the bin, the city runs the Green Center at 1601 W. Main. - Hours: Tuesday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Sunday and Monday. - It accepts household debris, brush and tree limbs, electronic waste and all recyclable materials. - It is for residents only, not for commercial use. - Fees: $10 for pickup trucks and cars, $10 for trailers up to 8 feet, and $20 for trailers from 8 to 16 feet. Cash only. - Bring a driver's license and a City water bill with a matching name.

The city says fees are posted at the site and may change.

Who to ask

Public Works is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at 2123 Market Street. It is the department to ask about trash and recycling service. Utility Services, at 315 W. Texas Avenue, is open Monday through Thursday, 7:20 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Use Utility Services for billing questions.

What this means for you

Look at where you live relative to Spur 330 and Highway 146, then write down your trash days and your recycling day. If you plan a cleanup, check the Green Center hours first, bring cash and bring both documents.
