Where to park downtown (and when not to bother)
Texas Avenue is two-way patience. Festival nights, use Lee College. Ordinary Saturdays, you’ll be fine.
On a normal Saturday you can park on or just off Texas Avenue and walk the ACE district. That is the move. Do not valet your anxiety — there is no valet.
Grito Fest, July 4, Christmas parade: do not hunt for a space on Market. Lee College lots across from Bicentennial Park are the city’s own advice. Handicap parking at the PAC.
Art Alley photos at sunset: park once, walk. The alley is a block, not a destination that needs a drop-off.
Nurture Nature (Oct 10) is not downtown. On-site Nature Center parking is a small fee that day; free shuttle from West Town Shopping Center, 4220 Decker.
